Trying to post from my blackberry. Test 1

Salvaging old Barn, Victorian House for Craft Supplies

Phil and I have been working so hard salvaging wood from an old barn and a wonderful victorian house... every board removed makes me sad, as the house is just so wonderful. As we work, I think about the past life lived in the house ... a neighbor stopped by and told me about the couple ... he's deceased, and she's very old. He was born in the house.

We've removed a brass chandelier (which I'll sell on ebay) and wonderful molding around the windows that is about 8" wide. The kitchen cupboards are being revamped for storage in Phil's woodshop, the windows will be painted by our son, Jared, and sold at craft shows! We removed the corbels and trim from outside to incorporate into a potting bench! I have my eyes on the solid wood flooring for my living room, but time will only permit us to remove so much, before the bulldozer moves in.

Outside there are hostas, lily of the valley, roses and some lilies I plan to dig up and plant in my cottage garden! What a treasure ... it will be like Christmas when the roses bloom (I'll be surprised as to the variety)!

There's a small general store on the property, named "Ron's Little Store"! Inside I found a screen door with an advertisement ... and a "Thank you, Come Again" sign .. Phil removed the doors, he'll make benches from those!

We've removed the siding from two storage buildings, and are now working on the barn siding! It's a yellow barn, most unusual, and will be perfect for building primitive shelving and making rustic signs ... in a few weeks, I hope to have some of these items on the Trimble Crafts website for sale!

When I say "we" in this post, Phil does the hard work, and I remove the nails from the boards and load them into the truck! Not as easy as it sounds, as many of the boards are oak!!

We'll have lots of material to make crafts for our upcoming craft show, May 1, in Findlay, Springtime in Ohio!

A WINTER GATHERING - Primitive Craft Show Springfield, Ohio

We're excited to be exhibiting in a craft show at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Springfield, Ohio Jan 15-17, 2010! We are usually exhibiting at craft shows in Florida, but this year we are enjoying the freezing weather in Ohio!

This show is in conjunction with the Springfield Antique and Flea Market, so I'm looking forward to shopping too!

Trimble Crafts getting ready for Spring

Here at Trimble Crafts we've put away the tinsel, and we are concentrating on new designs ready for our spring craft shows. Phil just built this potting bench from an old window and a cast iron sink (this was salvaged from an old house in Wilmington, Ohio) ... I think it's just awesome. It's currently for sale on our website or ebay store, but I kinda hope it doesn't sell so I can put it on my front porch!

Roses in the Cottage Garden

I've so enjoyed my time off from the craft show circuit, putterin' around in my little cottage garden. We've added a tiny building, and I just can't wait to decorate it in a shabby chic decor, perfect for little tea parties with the grandchildren. Hubby Phil built an arbor from vintage doors and we planted a vintage rose from his mother's garden, which is blooming so well! We're getting ready to head to Kutztown, PA for the Kutztown Folk Festival June 27 - July 5th! I've added greeting cards to my Girlie Girl Collection and they've been soooo popular.

I have a new website design ... nephew Mark, of PC Nation ... he's a whiz! I spent 8 months trying to do what he was able to do overnight it seems. Stop by to browse or shop at www.trimblecrafts.com
